You can create a new order supplier by clicking on the “ Add new supplier order” button on the right.

Receiving products from suppliers

Depending on the configuration, goods receipts can only be posted if there is a supplier order or independently of it. By posting a goods receipt with reference to the supplier order, the open order quantity is reduced and the physical stock in the shop is increased. As a result, stock increases no longer have to be carried out in the article master data management. It is also possible to import incoming goods.

We have two separate menu items for receiving. One is Receiving supplier orders and the second is receiving.

Let’s have a first look at the “Receiving Supplier Order”

Here you can have a chance to select the Order number, then you can fill in the Delivery Note ID or it is the supplier reference that the supplier provided you when the goods have been delivered.

Stocktaking

Inventories can be taken with the materials management for Magento 2 simply by specifying the article number and stock quantity via a separate menu. All bookings can be viewed via a log in order to determine differences and to be able to carry out appropriate recounts in a targeted manner.

In a separate menu, the last stock take can be identified to ensure that all items have been taken into account during inventory taking.

Stock movement - Log of all inventory transactions

Regardless of whether it is an order, return goods receipt, or inventory difference, all stock-changing transactions can be easily viewed and filtered in a material management log. In addition, the specific transactions for each individual item can be viewed in the item data. Statistics on a monthly and yearly basis also summarize the transactions at an item level, so that a good overall picture of each item is created - including a return rate.

Summary

The material management extension for Magento 2 increases the transparency of all stock relevant transactions. Additionally, daily tasks like receiving and stock replenishment activities can be executed far more efficiently than in Magento standard, and finally, also the annual stock take can be executed more efficiently and effectively.
