GDPR Anonymize Customerdata Extension for defined admins in the Magento backend

Availability: Available

According to Article 25 EU GDPR there is a general obligation to minimise data processing.
The data protection officer must ensure that personal data is only made accessible to those who are required to get in touch with it. This is technically quite difficult to achieve with Magento, since there is the possibility to show and hide individual sections of the backend via administrator groups and assigned permission, but this is not sufficiently differentiable. So it is only possible to en- / or disable the orders and the order grid in administrator permission but no further definition.

Realistic example: Admin A shall only see customer data of shop A of which he is in charge of, but not of shop B, for which Admin B is in charge. Admin B should not be able to see Shop A's data. Admin C should be able to see all data, because he is responsible for both projects.

This is where the Commercers GDPR Anonymization Extension comes in. With this extension for Magento 1 (for Magento 2 coming soon) can be defined exactly who can see what. Everything else is replaced by placeholders.

Important: This extension only encrypts / anonymizes the UI and does not change any customer- or orderdata in the database!
